VASCO Selects
Switzerland for European Headquarters

YORK, April 17 Ð Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois-based
VASCO Data Security International Inc. (Nasdaq: VDSI; www.vasco.com), a leading software security company
specializing in authentication products, will establish its European
Headquarters office in Switzerland, reports Mario Brossi of the Swiss Foreign
Investment Agency Location: Switzerland. Personnel assigned to the new office
in Zurich will have oversight responsibility for all of the companyÕs
activities in all countries other than those in North, Central and South
America, Mr. Brossi said.
According to T. Kendall Hunt, VASCOÕs
Chairman and CEO, Clifford K. Bown, the companyÕs Executive Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer, will oversee the creation of the companyÕs new legal
entity in Switzerland, VASCO Data Security International GmbH. The Swiss and
United States entities will jointly own and manage all of the CompanyÕs
technology-related intellectual properties. Additionally, the company announced that it would hire a
number of senior executives in the Zurich office who will have worldwide
responsibilities.
