Mark Andy adds Advanced Technology Center at its European HQ in Switzerland

NEW YORK, February  6 – Printing equipment manufacturer Mark Andy has relocated its European headquarters in Switzerland to Reinach from Allschwil, both in the Basel area, and added a new advanced technology center reports Mario Brossi of the Swiss Foreign Investment Agency Location: Switzerland. When in full operation, staffing is expected to reach 17, Mr. Brossi said.

Dieter Huck, Europe Managing Director for Mark Andy, said the expanded facility includes a marketing and sales organization, technical services and training, a parts and technical support department along with a demonstration showroom. “In 1987 the company opened its first European operations in Switzerland after looking at locations in Germany and the Netherlands,” he said.  “Our experience since then has proven the country’s attractiveness in terms of geographic location, labor laws, and a business-friendly tax regime.  Its well-educated, multilingual workforce and strong technology resources are important when it comes to supporting today’s complex narrow web printing equipment.” 

Based in St. Louis, Missouri, Mark Andy offers a full spectrum of web flexographic printing press capabilities under its own, Comco and UVTechnology labels. Primary customers are the folding carton and flexible packaging markets and the tag and label industry.
