Burson-Marsteller opens new office in
Geneva
Burson-Marsteller announced it is opening
a new office in Geneva. As one of the leading public relations agencies in
Switzerland, Burson-Marstelller now features offices in Zurich, Berne and
Geneva. The experienced team in Geneva will supply PR services to the
French-speaking Swiss market as well as internationally oriented companies and
organizations in the region. After B-M opened its very first European office in
Geneva in 1961, the company is now going back to its European roots.
Burson-Marsteller opened its very first
office outside the United States in Geneva. The office served as European
headquarters during a period when Burson-Marsteller was establishing itself in
Europe. Roman Geiser, CEO of Burson-Marsteller Switzerland, is pleased about
the new location in French-speaking Switzerland. "In Geneva, we'll be able
to combine our understanding of the local French-speaking market with services
for the many international corporations and organizations headquartered
there." Geiser continues, "We'll be stressing the advantage of this
"best-of-two-worlds" approach with our Swiss/Anglo-Saxon team."
Best of two worlds: an experienced
Swiss/Anglo-Saxon team for Geneva The Geneva team comprises several experienced
PR consultants with strong international experience coupled with a keen
understanding of local market conditions. This combination will enable them to
extend Burson-Marsteller's service portfolio to provide international clients
with a full-service offering both locally and at a global level. In addition to
this, Geneva will be liaising closely with the company's offices in Zurich and
Berne to define integrated solutions.
The head of the team is Joanna Corsaro,
who has been with Burson-Marsteller for eight years now, four of those in Asia.
"The Geneva location nicely rounds off the product and service range for
our clients in Switzerland at national and international level, said Corsaro.
The team is supported by Thomas Maginnis, who has been with the agency since
2002 and worked for clients in various locations. A new member of the team is
Kate Lipsitz, a highly qualified public affairs specialist who provides counsel
to many global clients.
