Postini opens data centers in ZŸrich and Geneva

- Postini, the global leader in Integrated Message Management, announced the
opening of two new data centers in Switzerland which comply with stringent IT
security requirements for banks in accordance with the Swiss Federal Banking
Commission. The Swiss data centers, located in ZŸrich and Geneva, will provide
integrated message management capabilities for PostiniÕs corporate customers in
the region.
Postini built the data centers to meet the high
security demands of its Swiss customers. In addition to the data centers, PostiniÕs
new ZŸrich office offers customer support, technical account management, and
operational services.
"Swiss companies require a
comprehensive, flexible and trusted solution to protect messages without
burdening their IT infrastructure," said Jocelyn Ding, PostiniÕs executive
vice president for worldwide operations. "Postini was able to quickly
build data centers that met SwitzerlandÕs standards for protecting customer
privacy and confidentiality." Ding also pointed out that Postini established
an in-country solution to address specific language, cultural, and security
requirements, and ensure the highest level of customer service.
The
ZŸrich and Geneva operations raise PostiniÕs number of data centers to twelve,
complementing existing facilities in Santa Clara (Calif.), Chicago, London and
Amsterdam.
