Systems Integrator Avanade opens branch in Switzerland

 

New York, September 13 – Avanade, a leading system integrator specializing in the conception, development and implementation of Microsoft technologies, is now operating from a new office in Zurich to better serve the growing Swiss market, reports Mario Brossi of Location: Switzerland, the country’s Foreign Investment Agency. The joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft will create around 25 jobs for Swiss consultants over the next 15 months, and within three years intends to employ 100 people.

 

Volkmar Eich, Managing Director Switzerland, said, “The experience Avanade has made in recent years with customers like Coop and XL Insurance in Switzerland reinforced the decision of Avanade to open a branch in Zurich.”

 

Thomas Meyer, Country Managing Director of Accenture Schweiz, adds: “There is great potential in the Swiss market for IT consultancy and systems integration using Microsoft technology. We need Avanade to strengthen the Microsoft business.” As elsewhere in Europe Swiss companies face the challenge of creating a modern, stable yet scalable IT environment.
